If you’ve ever visited our site before, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. You will see our logos and advertisements all over the internet to remind you that we actually do more blogging. We actually sell revenue management technology and produce consulting services from this business.
And if this is the first time for you, you will soon know what our intentions and goals are. This form of marketing is called remarketing. This allows the hotel to bring back people to their website that has not been booked yet. Your ads are placed on news sites or communities, as a friendly reminder of your hotel.
The fun part of this is a very good ROI compared to OTA commissions. And this is, of course, logical because we are marketing to people who have visited your website before, so of course, the chances of conversion are higher.
And that’s really remarkable remarketing, increasing your conversions is an easy way to direct your direct sales.
Here are some easy implementation steps:
- Create segments into Google Analytics, by users who have visited or viewed but not converted. Segments can be language-oriented or based on specific promotional or package pages viewed by visitors to your website.
- In Google Analytics, sign in to admin – audience definition – audiences – the new audience – import segments and select the segment you just created. When creating a Remarketing audience in Analytics, it is currently available in the Google Adwords to account you select.
- Now sign in to Google Adwords (note: your google adwords and google analytics account must be linked correctly) and create a Display Network the only campaign – Choose how to target your ads: Remarketing interests – select categories: remarketing lists – Select your audience.
